glamour models

The comfort zone for models is no different from any other profession. Comfort zone is the imaginary boundary that people create for themselves within which they believe they have to function. It’s a defense mechanism that keeps us from becoming anxious. A model’s comfort zone is probably more expansive because of the exhibitive nature of her work. Being comfortable exposing her body to a variety of people has to lie within her comfort zone. The average woman does not pose in scantily clad lingerie and get paid for it. That’s outside her comfort zone.

Models remain in their comfort zones for the same reason the rest of us do. We manage our anxiety by staying with the familiar and comfortable. We feel secure doing the same thing over and over. Unless we are challenged, we don’t have any reason to change. Most models create comfort zones in clothing, facial expressions, body language and appealing look (however they might define that). Anxiety about the new and different is too difficult to face, so they behave in the same ways consistently to avoid having to feel anxious. They convince themselves internally that they ‘cannot handle’ doing something unusual or different.

Female Models Comfort Zones female model

Female Model Jessie

We also avoid changing behavior because we’re concerned about what someone else will think. Comfort zones become personal prisons because we’re concerned about acceptance from others. Models must be concerned about response from those viewing their pictures; it’s their livelihood. If a model does something new and different for a photo shoot, what is going to be the response? We are all conditioned to believe we cannot live without approval from others. If a model has been doing something for months or years that works for her, why should she change? Most models stay within their defined comfort zones so they do not have to risk losing approval and potentially their livelihood.

Complacency is the real risk for a model dealing with her comfort zone. She feels secure within her imaginary boundaries. She can become lazy without knowing it. She’s comfortable there; why should she go some place where she is uncomfortable? In the extreme, she can become apathetic and the resulting photos show her inertia.

How can a model take a look at her comfort zone and decide to step out? Highly successful people step out of their comfort zones with regularity. They identify a goal they want to achieve and that path requires new and different behavior patterns to reach the goal. A question she might ask herself in confronting her initial rise in anxiety is, What is the worst thing that can happen? Talking over possible answers to that question with her friends could prove helpful. She might more easily manage the risk if she knows what could potentially result from the change she is considering. She might also discover the beliefs supporting her current comfort zone are unfounded. For example, she might discover her livelihood is not really threatened.

The more entertaining question to consider is, What is the best case scenario? This issue is easier to consider, and again, her friends might be helpful with possible responses. The enticement of something good or even really great could be just the impetus needed to make the change.

Although the comfort zone is an imaginary set of boundaries, the accompanying anxiety trying to step outside the box is very real. Don’t take huge leaps in your attempts to redirect your career; one or two steps at a time is a better plan. Check out how new behaviors feel, and then ask yourself if your comfort zone can begin to be redefined to include something you never considered possible in your life.

Boudoir Photographers

Models and photographers alike are interested in Boudoir Photography these days. Sensuous images are an important element in any portfolio. Since Playboy first displayed the beauty of Marilyn Monroe on its cover in 1953, men and women have enjoyed looking at sexy bodies tastefully and artistically presented. Queen Victoria finally lost her stranglehold on sensuality in western civilization. Today most adults view sexuality as a normal and accepted part of their lives. We no longer shy away from pictures of human bodies displayed in various art forms.

Boudoir Photography & GWC boudoir model
Boudoir Photography

However, the photography industry needs to understand the difference between quality sexy pictures and trash. Photographers know what pictures they intend to take before the camera gets out of the bag. And they generally know how they intend to use the photos. Photographers intend pornography when they take trashy pictures. Trash isn’t difficult to identify. It’s all skin and no art.

Boudoir photography is an art form. Pictures of scantily clad models that imply nudity can be created with good posing and lighting. Tasteful and artistic images of a beautiful woman in various stages of boudoir attire reflect her poise and dignity. Although sensual photos are revealing, many boudoir photos are not of nudes. They visually suggest, but don’t cross the line between implying and revealing. When the photographer does choose a nude pose, the emphasis is on artistic. The detail of composition creates a quality photo that gives a clue to the highly sensitive nature of this kind of work.

A boudoir is a woman’s bedroom or sitting room. However, photos in this category today are not just bedroom shots. Other rooms in a home or studio, or outdoor shots, become good settings for quality sensuous pictures. The setting is less important than understanding what makes for a good sexy image; the foundation for quality is artistic tastefulness. Neither the photographer nor the model should forget that.

Boudoir Photography & GWC boudoir photography
Boudoir Models

Boudoir photos put the relationship between photographer and model on a new level. She has to trust the photographer’s skill and his/her ethics. And the photographer must not betray that trust. He/she respects trust boundaries and understands it is a required professional competency. A good model does her research ahead of time; she knows the reputation of the photographer before ever meeting him/her. Her self-confidence level is high; it has to be if she is going to expose so much of herself, physically and emotionally, to the camera.

A final word for the average woman in our readership… You don’t have to be a model to love seeing yourself in a soft and sensual portrait. Whether the one holding the camera is a professional photographer or your friend or spouse or significant other, you love seeing your persona captured in a photo. You don’t have to be ‘beautiful’ as described by a beauty magazine. Photographing a woman in her natural state, with the emphasis on soft and sensual, good posing, carefully defined lighting and effective communication between picture-taker and model all results in incredible and tasteful artistic photos she will treasure forever.

Boudoir Photography

A lingerie model is someone who wears lingerie and allows photos to be taken. Lingerie is a French term referring to various types of women’s undergarments. A lingerie model is a woman who wears and displays the lingerie for the purpose of advertising and fashion. The profession of lingerie model has become essential in today’s world to showcase the huge variety of styles and fashions in lingerie. All the major manufacturers of lingerie like to propagate their products using lingerie models.

Lingerie Model Alissa Andrews

Lingerie modeling
is a highly paid career, but it requires you to be young and attractive. Since lingerie denotes sensuality and elegance, lingerie models should be able to reflect this through their personalities. Lingerie models should be tall and have lots of curves and posture to her body shape. They can’t be shy, and must be willing to freely model intimate lingerie. In order to become a successful lingerie model, a woman must be out in the market for a while and have an extensive modeling portfolio including lots of photographs and videos.

It is essential that a professional photography shoot for this portfolio. Creating a portfolio is not an inexpensive task, but one that must be done in order to attract the right modeling companies. These days, the Internet allows you to upload your portfolio onto the sites for consideration for lingerie modeling jobs.

But be wary of deceptions, lingerie modeling photos are often sold for pornography and other illegal purposes. Check the credentials of the company or the photographer thoroughly before signing any contract.

Lingerie provides detailed information on Lingerie, Lingerie Model, Discount Lingerie, Plus Size Lingerie and more. Lingerie is affiliated with Corset Training.

Nicole Salem

My name is Nicole Salem and I am 23 years old. Let me begin by telling you a little bit about myself. I am a radio traffic, weather, and sports reporter in Detroit. I love my job, and I always knew that I wanted to work in radio. I am extremely hard working. I firmly believe that anything worth doing, is worth doing well. I am outgoing, charismatic, genuine, and I think my sense of humor is by far one of my best qualities. When I am not working, I enjoy participating in pageants and bikini contests such as Barefoot Wine, and Hawaiian Tropic. I am lucky to have several friends that are professional photographers, and I love to help them out if they need a model for a photo shoot. It’s always a great time, and I love the experience I get. I hope you will review the photos I attached, and consider me for your photo shoot.

Thank you for your time!

Rebecca

Hello there!

I am submitting myself as an entrant for SEVERAL reasons. Firstly, I USED TO be a professional promotions spokes-model and hair model. I am frequently told that I’ve still“GOT IT”, too, This would help me to show the world that, also..that I can certainly still turn the heads heads… I may be a mother now, but I take very good care of myself, and most people think I look very young for my age.

SECONDLY: My hairdresser to whom I was very loyal moved away about 6 months ago. I have been avoiding going to someone new ever since she left, and have just been taking really good care of my hair to keep it nice and healthy, instead. Now I MUST ADMIT: I really need TO FINALLY HAVE my hair to be done by a professional AGAIN. My hair is now getting VERY long now, and would be fun for a stylist to work with. THIRDLY: I really WANT this chance! I know I deserve to treat myself to a photo shoot and make-up session, etc..but truth be known: I just couldn’t afford to indulge myself in all of this at this time. I work really hard to stay thin and fit, and have recently toned myself all up with Pilate’s, despite some additional weight loss so that I can enjoy my skimpier summer clothes and swimsuits. I really hope you will consider choosing me, despite the fact that I am swiftly approaching my “middle-age” years. Thanks for your consideration! I have included photos of me NOT wearing make-up, and with my hair both straight and wavy. I’m very versatile and easy to work with. I am 5’7″ tall and weigh 147 pounds. (I’m also a little big in the bust area, but not overly so.)

Kayla

Hello my name is Kayla.

I think that I should be chosen for the shoot because I always go that extra mile to make my work great! I maintain a positive attitude! I took a year off from modeling, but now I am back and ready to rock it! I am a full time dental assistant, which I enjoy very much, but I would like to eventually make modeling my full time job! To get there I need to build my portfolio, and I need great photographers, hair stylists and makeup artists and this seems like a great opportunity to meet some awesome people. Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!

Tabitha

My name is Tabitha Baer:

Winning this contest would be the perfect step for me in my modeling career. With your help and the confidence I have to succeed, I want to take this opportunity to create an OUTSTANDING portfolio. I think modeling is an amazing career because it allows you to work with many photographers and capture the moods of many different photos in a variety of places. I am definitely a very open-minded person when it comes to creating new ideas, which I believe is very important in this industry. It allows me to use my body and mind to obtain stunning photos. Also having an outgoing personality enables me to have fun with my work while keeping it professional at the same time!

Kara

My name is Kara Lenae:

I moved to Phoenix from Dallas three years ago. I have been in the modeling and entertainment industry for over 10 years. I believe I should be picked for the professional photo shoot as I am always working hard to further my career here in the Southwest market. Since moving to Phoenix, I have had the opportunity to grace the cover of two national magazines, The Horse Backstreet Choppers and Biker Beauties. I would like to expand my portfolio with edgy fashion images to submit to local as well as national publications in early 2009

Jaynel Lynn

My name is Jaynel Lynn:

I think I would be the perfect winner for your contest because I am a caring, giving and dependable person. Modeling is my dream and passion in life. I always look forward to an opportunity to grow in the industry. I work very hard and have been told I have a great work ethic. If I tell you I’m going to be there, I’ll be there. As hard as photo shoots can be, I still always have fun, which I think is a important part of modeling. Another added bonus to me is that I’m an artist, which helps me co-create a beautiful piece of art. Lastly and one of the best reasons I would be the perfect winner for you contest is because I’m as beautiful on the outside as I am on the inside.

Boudoir For Your Partner

Boudoir style photography is sensual and sexy. It is a type of glamour photography, most commonly female photography, which focuses on making the model look attractive. It’s not about being in perfect shape or being thin. Instead a photographer will highlight your best features to create a beautiful shot. That being said, why wouldn’t someone want to look and feel attractive and sexy in a photo. Whether they admit it or not, most women do. Now, more than ever, women are becoming confident enough to have this type of photo taken.

Boudoir Photography boudoir photograph

Boudoir Glamour

When you hear Boudoir Photography or boudoir models, don’t assume bimbos and cheap pictures. This type of glamour photography is making a stylish comeback. And it isn’t just for models anymore either. ‘Normal’ people are seeking out these types of photographers more and more. Most often, women who seek out boudoir photographers do so for specific reasons. Usually they have received a confidence boost of some kind, are giving a gift, or have had a milestone in their lives.

Boudoir photography makes a great sexy gift for someone you are romantically involved with. Many women, perhaps trying to rekindle the romance, get boudoir photos as a gift for their lovers. Others just want to give a fun and sexy present, either for birthday or anniversary.

As a wedding gift, bridal boudoir is growing in popularity. Some brides are now choosing to give their grooms this special photographic gift. Besides being a unique present, a bridal boudoir session can be a wonderful way for a bride to relax before her big day. Other couples are opting to pose together. This intimate photography can convey alluring, sexy moments between two people about to share their lives.

Post-surgery clients probably represent the largest group who choose to get boudoir photographs. They have added confidence and want to show off their new cleavage, new waistline or new nose. Whatever the surgery, these women are excited about their new bodies and want to capture themselves on film.

Boudoir Photography boudoir models

Boudoir Photography

Weight loss excitement can also prompt some into wanting to take a few racy boudoir photos. Finally reaching that goal weight is an incredible achievement and can be an even more incredible confidence boost. They may not be fitness models, but they are happy with the way they look and this can allow for some great glamour photography. Just like in the case of post-surgery models, those that have lost weight want to show off their new bodies to document their change.

One very special way to celebrate a milestone birthday, maybe 30, 40 or even 50, is to reward oneself with a boudoir photography session. Many have come to the realization that this really is the best they are going to look and that they want to capture that. The desire to preserve that beauty is natural. Being able to have a photograph that will always remind you of how young and sexy you can be is wonderful.

Another milestone many like to capture and have a record of is becoming mothers. Maternity boudoir is a growing trend with numerous celebrity followers. Even during pregnancy, or perhaps especially during pregnancy, women want to look sexy and feel beautiful. This is a way for them to document the pregnancy in a unique way that they will treasure.

For these reasons and many others, women of all ages are turning to boudoir photography for a fun, sexy and unique gift for themselves or someone they love.
