Top 3 Spring 2010 Affordable Beauty Trends
New York and Paris Fashion Week 2010 revealed what trends are on the horizon for spring. There were muted nail colors, textured hairstyles, glimpses of metallic accents, and shimmery, glowing skin. Of all the trends seen during Fashion Week Spring 2010, here are my top 3 picks of what you shall see most influenced from the runways and easily intertwined into your every day look, and something we will incorporate with our glamour photography.
Braids are Hot
Braids….are….fierce! On the red carpet, Kim Kardashian, Heidi Klum and Alicia Keys have all been photographed wearing braids. Braids give women the option to wear an easy, trendy, affordable style. Wear it across the front of the hairline in the place of a hair band. It is the definition of simple chic. If you don’t want the front hairline braid, opt for a fishtail or side braid. The key to keeping these looks fresh is to create a messy fishtail or side braid. Do not make a strict, perfect, well-kept line. If you do then you appear outdated.
Go for the Coral
Coral and peachy tone lips are the must-have color of the season. It is a shade that works in the boardroom, at a cocktail party or lounging with your friends at home. It works in any setting. And even though we first saw glimpses of this trend in the fall, it isn’t going anywhere now that spring is here. We say go for the coral!
I Love the 80s
Even though MTV no longer premieres Michael Jackson videos, the colors from the 1980s reign supreme in terms of eye color. Eyes pop with 1980s influenced pastel color pallets. Choose a sky blue or Easter-themed pinks and lavenders. Offset these eye colors with brown pencil liners and black mascara. It seems we can’t get rid of the 80s yet. But do not bust out your parachute pants, because we are only talking about eye color here.
Spring Fashion Week 2010 displayed an economic conscience about people’s spending and awareness by offering looks anyone can afford. The above 3 picks fall into that category allowing you to release your fashion diva without breaking your tight budget.
