Remem­ber the days when Lind­say Lohan was just a cute, freck­led red-haired kid star from the remake of the movie “Par­ent Trap?” She was adorable, tal­ented, wide-eyed, inno­cent, and pro­jected to be the next big star of her gen­er­a­tion. And now, she is balling her eyes out on tele­vi­sion while sit­ting in court lis­ten­ing to her sen­tenc­ing for the bil­lionth time. The court sys­tem has finally had enough, and the be hon­est, so have I.

Lind­say Lohan could have the world. She had every­thing going in her favor and she blew it. She has failed her pro­ba­tion terms more than once, and this lat­est fiasco was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Sun­day, June 6, 2010 was the MTV Movie Awards and this is where Lind­say got into trou­ble. Accord­ing to reports, her alco­hol detec­tion ankle bracelet went off alert­ing the mon­i­tor­ing loca­tion. This is in direct vio­la­tion of her pro­ba­tion terms caus­ing courts to take note and action. In addi­tion, it does not help her sit­u­a­tion know­ing that in 2007 she was arrested for being under the influ­ence of cocaine and now under­goes ran­dom drug test­ing. She is a com­plete mess.

So the ques­tion debated in the media is when did this down­fall begin? It’s hard to say. Some gos­sip colum­nists and fol­low­ers of Lindsay’s career blame her stage mom for the neg­a­tive out­come of her life. Her father would prob­a­bly agree. Accord­ing to sev­eral media reports by TMZ, CNN and Fox News, Lindsay’s father Michael has accused his daugh­ter of suf­fer­ing from a severe pre­scrip­tion drug addic­tion ( I’ve been there and done that, its no fun).  He claims it is the rea­son why she is act­ing child­ish in court and needs rehab imme­di­ately.

It is impor­tant to note, Lind­say and her father have not spo­ken to each other in years. And Lind­say con­tin­u­ously Tweets about her father in a neg­a­tive man­ner. There is an ongo­ing bat­tle. Nei­ther one is going to win a Hall­mark prize for being “Best Role Model Fam­ily of the Year”. But it still does not explain Lindsay’s appar­ent dis­re­spect for the courts.

Dur­ing the sen­tenc­ing, Lind­say had her nail air­brushed with an exple­tive say­ing , “F*** you.”  And as soon as the sen­tenc­ing was announced, Lind­say flooded her Twit­ter account with a series of Tweets. She expressed anger towards the sit­u­a­tion and called the jus­tice sys­tem “con­sti­tu­tion­ally per­verted.” Then she con­tin­ued to state the UN Uni­ver­sal Dec­la­ra­tion of Human Rights. Seri­ously? Lind­say breaks the law, the law responds, and she is quote the Uni­ver­sal Dec­la­ra­tion of Human Rights? How does this attain any court empa­thy? Who is advis­ing this chic?  And as of this morn­ing, her attor­ney quit.

Lindsay’s behav­ior is out of con­trol, and my guess is this absurd behav­ior is a direct link to her addic­tion issues. And until some­one steps in to stop her then she will con­tinue to spi­ral down further…and, truth­fully, I’m not sure how much fur­ther she can afford to fall. Men­tally, phys­i­cally and finan­cially she has to wake up and real­ize she is meant to be a glam­orous model and movie star.

She could be the most sought after boudoir cover model for men’s and high fash­ion mag­a­zines alike. Instead, her idi­otic mis­takes are cost­ing her career, pock­et­book and years off her life.
