Plastic Surgery Increases Amongst Young Adults
More young adults are receiving plastic surgery procedures normally reserved for older women. Teens and young adults are increasing in requests for eyebrow lifts, face fillers, and lip enhancers. But when is it too early to receive a neck liposuction, fat injections in cheeks and lips, and a mini brow lift? Should there be an age requirement?
When is Enough, Enough?
Twenty-three year-old reality, television star, Heidi Montag underwent ten plastic surgery procedures at once. She had Botox, nose job revision, mini-brow lift, chin reduction, fat injections in her cheeks and lips, breast augmentation revision, liposuction on waist and thighs, ears pinned, buttocks augmentation and neck liposuction. This brings her total procedures to twelve. Twelve plastic surgery procedures at the ripe old age of twenty-three?!?
There are young, Hollywood celebrities that had successful plastic surgeries. Ashley Tisdale, Ashley Simpson, and Blake Lively obtained nose jobs that are subtle changes enhancing their overall beauty. However, Heidi Montag looks like a cyber-enhanced, science fiction influenced character. She does not look real. Her surgeries make her look a great deal older than her real age. She is currently on her way to be another Janice Dickinson plastic surgery– addicted nightmare.
What do you think of Heidi’s surgeries? Do you think there should be an age requirement for specific procedures? What about the plastic surgeon, who implemented the surgeries, did he act in an ethical manner by applying 10 surgeries at once to such a young person?
